“I hear tell, the road to hell, is paved with good intentions...” -- Randy Travis
And my intentions with this blog have been good, but faulty. I think I’m suffering from old man ADD. I can think of a dozen things that I want, or need, to do at any one time, but I do more thinking than doing. Besides this blog, I have two web sites that have needed updating for a few months, there are things needing my attention around the house and yard, and I’ve got 3 stories I need to finish up.
Not everything remains undone. I have finished dry walling the garage and I have actually started to get a little exercise in.
I think it primarily started when Sarah went off to college. Not that I spent a lot of time with her when she was here, but at least I didn’t have to worry about her or just wonder what she was doing. I’ve also enjoyed my time with Sue. We’re not exactly like newlyweds again, but we’ve done more things together lately than we have in a long time.
Maybe it’s just my head that’s screwed up (more than usual), or I don’t spend my time wisely, but whatever it is, I will start one thing and get part of it done and turn around and start something else. It’s amazing how quickly partially completed jobs stack up!
I’ll get it straightened out soon enough. Maybe I just have more time to do things so it takes away some of the urgency to get them done.
Hey, but I’ll tell you what. I’m very much open to any suggestions you might have.
